From the Radio Userland side:
"We're going to try to focus on the aggregator tool and maybe even sell it to OPML Editor users" I'm an OPML Editor.... ;-)
An OPML blogging tool....now there is something you don't see everyday. I don't know how many details I can disclose, so I will just say that you can see a blog with this power already in action here. P.S. I figure that since the site is public (at least I think it is), that it is okay for me to link to it. Please don't smite me Dave.

Samsung i730
I will never know why I didn't choose to go in business with
myself....because if I was a business then I could have the Verizon
i730 TODAY! Sucks....
Man I am really irked. I went to Clearwater Mall after getting out of
the office for the day to work from home. I walk into the pretty new
Starbucks there. There is a Starbucks inside of Target, but those
aren't real Starbucks with REAL Starbucks employees....typically they
are employees of the store housing the Sbux.
I go to hop online and get access to my home pc to work on Access from home. I get a strange "Free Community Wi-Fi" screen. I try to get on to no avail, then try to sign up. This FREE wi-fi is going to cost me $7.95/day....WTF!!!!
Good bye Clearwater Starbucks. The funny thing is that it was operated
by Quizno's Subs. I drive across the parking and step into the Borders
and hop right on the T-Mobile Hotspot. Ahhhh feels good to be online. I looked up on T-mobile all of the hotspots in Florida, and that Starbucks wasn't on the list. Their loss. Well I am working on some reporting on the Access database I am working with at my new job. Pretty detailed information and lots and lots of figures to query out. Hopefully my work laptop/computer will be in tomorrow if not Monday.
Other than that, I'm pretty much caught up with my podcasts this week, and am listening to music on my iPod photo. I
have canceled my trip to Jacksonville this weekend, as that the girl I
was going up to see...well her aunt I believe was sick in the hospital
up there, and has thus passed away. The viewing is on Friday, and it
doesn't look like things will work out. Oh well, I can go up there
another time to see my friend Chris who has moved there. Man I am busting at the seams about a few things....I can't wait to get my podcast up and started, I had final approval on the initial header logo, and the site should be live pretty soon now. Just got a call from the boss about putting together a keynote/powerpoint/something to show why the company should switch to Treo 650's from the crappy Motorola flip phones they have from a few years ago. I guess I'm going to go then, until later...this is Nick from the non-Starbucks hotspot saying buh bye! Wednesday, June 22, 2005
The Word of the Day is: Geek
I am watching Beauty and the Geek....this show is pretty funny. So that is the only reason for the WOTD being geek!
I saw this on Madge's site
and HAD to post it....I nearly died laughing when I saw it. I saw the
origional version of these sandles yesterday online, but Madge's
version is SOOO funny. Thanks for the laugh Madge.
Original:
Got off of work just a bit ago, and I'm at my nearby
Here is the top 25 movie quotes. I am upset I missed the show the other night with the top 100, but thanks to Ron Davis for posting this list below:The American Film Institute compiled and hyped the list. The Top 25 goes thisaway: 1. "Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn." Gone with the Wind, 1939 Lots of good quotes there. Well I am trying to get things fixed in my .htaccess file, as that my I'm
finishing up my group paper that is due tomorrow for my Ethics in
Management class. It is an easy paper, but the class just plain sucks.
The teacher is completly a sexist pig and HATES women (especially women
lawyers). ![]() OMG Madge Weinstein just mentioned Haliburton....geez. Don't people realize that as Vice President can't make money from a private organization. Oh well. I think that the whole Haliburton orderal is such a horrible mess and I can't wait until Cheny is out of the white house...not because I do or don't like him...so I don't have to be bombared with Haliburton, HALIBURTON, HALIBURTON!! Well,
I'm just REALLY tired and can't concentrate on this paper while trying
to finish up my Starrbux post today. I think I am going to run home and
grab some Coca-Cola Zero for some energy. Tuesday, June 21, 2005

Well
I wasn't really out where I could go into a Starbucks for a while and
post today during lunch. Let me tell you about my first day of work. My computer wasn't in and therefore I couldn't really start on anything. So I went with the two high ups at the office there to four of the Wal-Marts that they are going to be taking over a portion of the bread routes that they have. We met with managers and receivers for these stores around the area, and explained the new layout and other aspects of the whole deal. We ended up going to a local deli for lunch and the area manager who hired me paid for it. Nice perks! Well after we visited all of the stores, we came back to the office just a few minutes ago, and he told me I could head home, yet get paid for the whole day. Gotta love that. I'm not sure how lunches will go from here on out, but so far I am enjoying the company. I'm enjoying Starbucks so much, and been trying to find as many pics I can on Google and other places. I need to find that website of that guy who is trying to visit nearly all of them, so I can have a database of information from the one I am posting from, and can include a link or something each post. I guess I'm out of here...until later...buh bye! Monday, June 20, 2005
The Word of the Day for June 20th, 2005 is: mural
Why can't I have a Starbucks mural at my place???
![]() Of course I'm at Starbucks.....I think that this should be called the happiest place on earth. I could spend all day here. I've got my wifi connection, my iPod, and a power source for my iBook. oOo....and lookie there, in strolls a beautiful blonde with TWO Louis Vuitton bags, a laptop, and even a Louis Vuitton watch...my type of girl. LOL ironically it is one of my parents best friend's daughter. My parents go out to dinner and Cold Stone Cremery often with this other couple. Damn I should of shaved, oh well. I was putting it off until the last minute, aka tomorrow before I start work. Well enough of the gawking. So my podcast site is looking REALLY good, I can't wait to give out the URL to the masses. I am setting up final hosting solutions for the mp3s and the website itself. I think I am going to go with Apple's .Mac for the hosting, because they keep calling me about an offer for a 1 gig spot on .Mac. This would just be for the mp3 files, but they offer virtually limitless bandwdith. Any recomendations for mobile podcast solutions?? I know that a lot of people are dying to know when I will be starting, but have you personally used anything that works or doesn't work? It will pratically all be podcasting on the go and I so far plan on having an iRiver, Madonna style mic over the ear, and a 3 channel portable battery operated mixer. Oblivion on the Dawn and Drew message board made up this picture. I was joking around about someone donating to me an iRiver ;-) Oh well....I think that things are going pretty well. Tonight I am going to go to Borders and hop online there and study up on Access a bit more. Can never have too much pratice and knowledge is power. I think I am about to wrap things up here at Starrbux today. I can't think of much else I need to do online, besides finish checking my feeds. Oh yeah check out this pretty cool button I found today. I'm out....buh bye!

Let me start today's Starrbux post with a bunch of links and info I have been finding on the web recently:
The Geek Life - Talks about the 13 year old Shooby who did the interview with Leo Laporte. Leo talks about all of the interviews he has been doing recently. In reply to the Source Code Mini by Shooby....this podcast called Nobody Likes Onions (based out of my home of Tampa, Florida) said that The Source Code Mini was one of the worst podcasts of the week. I am listening to their show right now to see what they have to say. I don't think it is right to belittle people with a tagline as the "bad podcast of the week." I don't see why we have to bash each other in the podcast realm. There is no need for hatred. This isn't traditional media, we are trying to break down the rules and negativities that the traditional media has brought to pass. Did you show up on Digg.com Nobody likes onions??? If you guys are listening, I'd love to be on your show to talk about this issue. Please shoot me an email (me at Nick Starr dot com) or Skype me (NickStarr). Found this on Wil Wheaton....pretty geeky: ![]() This info about the percertage of iTMS songs per iPod brought to you from TUAW. ![]() Good way to use a Mac Mini...I guess... (from TUAW)
Finally in the links and items spot, something that I know could help out a number ofr my friends and even my parents, a great how to install an aux jack in their car stereo from Hack A Day. Well onto other news. Thursday I got the call that I was choosen for a new job. I will be doing data analysis for one of Wal-Mart's distrubuters. The job will involve a bunch of access database work and data manipulation. I was working for the local cable company thru a temp agency. Their policy is to give a two day notice if the job isn't working out. Well it wasn't working out and I had a MUCH better job offer. I called to give them notice and then I talked to the company I was working at because I REALLY respect the company and wanted to make sure they were aware as well. I think the company is a great one to work for, and certainly wanted to leave the door open and not burn any bridges. The good thing is that the completly agreed with me getting a more technical job and were curious why I was taking something that wasn't at my technical level. I went to the agency afterwards because they said at the company that there was no use for me to continue training for a job I was never going to do. The agency then tried to argue with me that I didn't give a notice b/c I wouldn't be working the next day. This makes NO SENSE. I gave notice and the company choose to no longer employ me. That is their decision, not mine, although I totally agree with them. I finally got thru the the agency and they kinda saw things my way. I am at the point in the show from the NLO about the bad podcast of the week. They are really harsh on Shooby. He's 13 years old guys...give him a break....I can't think of many 13 years who are podcasting, let alone have much radio experience. Well I got a haircut last night by my stylist, and it is literally the WORST haircut I've ever gotten. She cut a bit of length on top and not much off the back. I will leave it up to you to imagine what it looks like, but it is bad. I don't think I am ever going back there, she charged me WAAAAY more than usual as well. I
guess that about wraps it up. Over the weekend, I'm going to a wedding
and going to work in Microsoft Access and the OPML editor. Until later,
buh bye! Thursday, June 16, 2005
Areyouageek lunch today... I spoke with the main host of the
Areyouageek (?) podcast during lunch today while I was at Starbucks. I
went to a different Starbucks today, because I am no longer with
Brighthouse.
Geez, now I am on the phone with someone from the Dawn and Drew message board. LOL Now I am at the same old Starbucks. It is near to my school and I have 2 hours and 45 minutes to finish up all of my school work. I am really sorry I guess I can't talk too much today. I need to get this school work done. Stay tuned tonight or tomorrow for some MAJOR updates about what is happening, to include info about a lot more money coming my way and other things.
I'm about to head to Starbucks....I am bustin at the seams...I gotta
tell you what happened yesterday....and almost all of it is VERY GOOD!
I'll be back in a bit.
