I have found this feature to be a bit annoying, the “Cancel or Allow” for nearly every single thing you do on a Vista system. On a Mac you get this type of dialog box when you are installing a new program, and must enter the root password.

On Vista, it literally gray’s out your entire screen until you press cancel or allow.

A necessary evil on Vista? Sure, I don’t want my system getting filled with spyware or viruses.

Starting tomorrow, if you have Vista installed on a laptop, T-Mobile will give you 90 days of free WiFi. I have no clue on how they are planning on working this deal, but my guess is there will be special software to install.

I am currently a paying member of the T-Mobile HotSpot service at $19.95/month. If I install Vista on my MacBook Pro, that saves me $60 over the next 3 months…sounds like a good deal to me.

It just so happens that a little birdy (aka an RSS feed) of mine told me about Episode 1 and Episode 2 of one of my favorite tv series, 24, on a nice little service called Bittorrent. Now I would never do such a thing like download them, and I certainly won’t link to them, but how about this picture to peek your interest.

This is pretty well put together, the only thing missing is Santa torturing the girl for opening the gift early, but hey it’s a Christmas commercial, so they have to keep it all light and fluffy.

I’m a HUGE 24 fan. The first time I watched it was during an F/X marathon after then first season ended. It ran from midnight till midnight the following day, just as Season 1 did. I watched the entire thing that day. (Granted I TiVo’d it so I was able to shower, eat, etc). I’ve watched every episode of every season after that. It’s tv’s best story line ever.
Season 6 is starting in January (14-15) with a 2 night, 4 hour premier that will be available on DVD on the 16th.

Well Fox put out a 10 minute prequel for the upcoming season.

As you may of read, I am an avid fan of prime time tv shows, of which 24 is one of my all time favorites. Season 5 left off with a huge cliff hanger, as Jack is headed to China and being tortured.

Season 6 doesn’t start until January 14th at 8pm EST, but that doesn’t mean that the 24 hype isn’t already started. Fox has put up the site 24Trailer.com with a countdown clock to the trailer of this season of 24. That timer ends this afternoon at 3pm EST.

Also you can pre-order Season 5 on DVD from Amazon (free shipping) for only $38.99. It ships in time for a great Christmas gift.

One of my favorite new shows this season is Heroes from NBC. The creator, Tim Kring (IMDB), is interviewed over at the TV Addict. It’s a great interview for any fan of the show, but does include a number of spoilers.
