Scrubs is one of my favorite shows out there right now, and it’s good to see it on iTunes. There is no Season Pass for it yet, but there is one for the new Season of South Park, which includes the now infamous “Return of Chef!” episode. Season 3 is online as well on iTunes.
I’ve really enjoyed and followed Carlos’ style of comedy for a number of years now. He’s edgy, but has a point as well. He’s not just up there to make people laugh, but to also make them think.
I’ve seen him a few times live as well, and it’s a great act. His show Mind of Mencia has brought him even more fame. Well now it’s on iTunes for download. All 13 episodes from Season 1, and 1 episode from Season 2.
No subscription model for this show (yet). Still it’s worth the $1.99 a show. Download them here.
I’ve been very interrested in the Slingbox for quite some time now. There is one major flaw in the system in terms of use for me. It doesn’t support Apple yet.
I would of purchased one last year if there was support for OS X. They do however now have software for Windows Mobile devices, such as a MDA.
There is a service called Orb that does the same thing, but from everything I’ve heard, the quality of Orb is nothing compared to Slingbox. It might be worth a look…and eventually they will offer Apple software, then this will really be a perfect solution for me.
It’s been pulled from Comedy Central, and heck it could be pulled from YouTube soon, so watch it now if you haven’t seen this episode yet. It has a great running joke about Tom Cruise being in the closet. This is the episode in which Isaac Hayes (aka the voice of Chef) quit the show over as well.
The Scientologist headquarters are here in Clearwater and they have been known for some pretty unorthodox methods (read: Lisa McPherson) , so if you don’t see me blogging anymore, someone call the cops I’ve been brainwashed and can be found in downtown Clearwater waiting for the space ship.
Today at 8pm PST is the last chance to sign up for TiVo’s life time subscription of $299. Personally, I left my TiVo subsciption lapse and don’t even use my TiVo at all anymore now that I have my Media Center PC. You can still buy a TiVo today and activate the lifetime service. If you already have a box, you can still pay the $12.95/month.
They do offer the ability to pay only the monthly costs at a seperate rate based on your level of commitment. $16.95/month for 3 yrs, $18.95/month for 2 years, and $19.95/month for 1 year.
You can prepay for the box and serivce as well. 3 years for $469, 2 years for $369, and 1 year for $224. Prepaying saves you a little bit.
The TiVo box you get is a 80 hour TiVo. It is a Series 2 and the Series 3 TiVo is coming out later this year. Once that comes out with Cable Card support I will consider upgrading, because it will do HD.
I’ve still got a TiVo Series 1 that I upgraded to 60 hours. That thing’s in the garage collecting dust.
BTW if you want to get a Tivo and cancel serivce, keep in mind there is a $150-$200 early termination fee.
