Name my show (podcast)

Well all of the names I have though of the name is taken online already.

So I am pulling to you guys to help me name my upcoming podcast. I want
the name to incorporate some of the words below...or something
completly origional...but with Starr in my name I can think of a few
variations...so here is the list of words I came up with.

Starr
Nick
Night
Show
One

this comes from my idea of Nick at Night (not the other one Nick at
Nite).....so any idea you come up with will be taken into
consideration. Please leave a comment with your ideas.....might even
have something special for the the name that I use.
Radio Userland coming out with "Podcasting Package"

Straight from Steve Kirks...you heard it here first!!!

http://radio.userland.com/discuss/msgReader$35592

Nick:

UserLand will be adding a "podcasting package" for Radio users that includes
a large amount of storage, reasonable file type/size limits and unlimited
bandwidth.

Podcasters: what are your requirements for storage space and file sizes?

Steve Kirks

Awesome!!!! Umm storage per file is up to what 20 megs for most
podcasts? And Radio by default has 25 posts on it's RSS feed...so that
would need a bunch of space I think. Let's see what they come out
with!!!

Find me a new host!!!

Anyone know a good host for a website??

My traffic has been going thru the roof...well compared to what it used
to be!!! Right now I have 200 megs and 2 gigs of bandwidth...I need at
least 5 gigs if not a ton more for future podcasting ventures.

Any suggestions??

Oh yeah...my current host is only $2/month...cheap would be nice...
One idea I am throwing around is also hosting it on a .Mac account
(unlimited bandwidth) and 250megs of space...but I want to keep the
www.NickStarr.com thing and not have a .Mac address...any ideas?
First "Buy Drew an iPod" podcast....

I quickly threw together an audio comment/PSA/whatever you want to call it for the cause...so subscribe to this RSS feed for updates on how we are doing!

Also wanted to get some API items out on the table for other bloggers.

To have the tally icon on your site add this script to your site:

Here is a link to a Movable Type plug in.

And the link to the donate site is: http://www.dropcash.com/campaign/nickstarr/buy_drew_an_ipod/
Glenn Beck's Tsunami Relief Fund...once you make a donation you can download this song...

Thank you for your donation.

Those of you who need a song to donate to a disaster
fund, deserve a disaster of a song.

Earlier this week Glenn called Stu
"Captain Blackheart" for saying that you should just give money to
tsunami victims if you want to--not wait for a charity song or
celebrity event tells you to. These inspiring words motivated Stu to
record the Glenn Beck Program's first charity single. A donation of
any amount will get you access to this certified gem. All donations
will go to help victims of the tsunami. The song features: Stu,
Chris Balfe, Dan, John, and Sarah. Glenn Beck apparently boycotted
 the project.

After leaving some very distressful messages on the blog, I decided
that the night ended up turning out quite well.... Here is a few
hilights of the evening at the Big Easy.
downtown Boston. It is about 20 degrees..and I AM NOT dressed for this

Blogging in Boston - Podcast 1

Well I did kinda podcast on the trip....

I think the setup went really well. I called into my Vonage account and
just uploaded the audio files it outputted. The sound quality is pretty
good...

Mid Week Update

Well as you very well know, I was pretty much incommunicado yesterday. No WOTD, no blog entries, and no hot chick pics....

So, to make up for the last part:

Well I hope that works....more to come in the following days...

Other than that, later I will be posting feedback I got from my new
class about my speach last night on the topic of: The most important
lessons I've learned in my professional life. Verry interrestering
comments....

Oh well...what else is there? I can't taste anything because I'm so
sick..and I sneeze like every minute...that is a bad thing...

No real new news on the A front....We have something planned but that is a week away and still not set in stone.

Tonight I have 2 sets of dinner plans...Dinner at the parents
house..and Beer and Wings at Mugs and Jugs....so not sure which one I
will be going to, if not both.

I should have some really good news on Saturday...so stay tuned for that....

I guess I'm out of here...talk to you later...

BTW. The Mini Source Code has been put on hold until I am feeling better and can acatually talk.
Mini Source Code

Well....I am on cloud nine...

Adam Curry mentioned my show on his Daily Source Code...He said it was very flattering and really cool...

I guess it's true what they say, that imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

So today's show has a brief wrap up of everything Adam talked about yesterday.....

Show Notes are available as always.
[Macro error: Can't evaluate the expression because the name "flStaticRendering" hasn't been defined.];
The mp3 of the show is up now as well. Plus you can plug in my RSS feed into your iPodder software and download the Mini Source Code on a daily basis.

Oh yes....

Patricia and Christina....Let me apologize about
the mistakes with your name and location. I hope that everything goes well in
your move to ENGLAND....(not
Ireland)...and

Podcast updates

Well it seems like the podcast is going well. I checked my bandwidth usage and I'm already at 572,063 megabytes or 11.44%
of my monthly bandwidth. I certainly need to find a provider with much
more bandwidth. I am thinking that a .Mac account provides unlimited
amounts of bandwidth, so I might sign up for that.

Looks like the audience is building
and that everyone is enjoying the show. Still not on the iPodder.org
directory yet, but patience is a virtue. I've got class tonight (or at
least that is how it's looking. Still up in the air though) and there
is no Daily Source Code from Adam yet, so not sure when I will have the Mini Source Code up. I will make sure to update you when I have a more set time.

So set your iPodder software to download late tonight, because it might be a late night edition of the Mini Source Code.

So what am I to do....

How about create a 5-10 minute podcast of everything Adam Covered in his show....
