Explanations

When Peter says "Ong-stray Ad-bay" and Strong Bad says "eppressing-day erd-nay," this is a fake language called Pig Latin. Translated, Peter said "Strong Bad," and Strong Bad said "depressing nerd."
Shortly after referring to the M.L.A. Handbook, Strong Bad writes, "I've just grown more selective of the types of rampages on which I go." The slightly odd phrasing at the end of the sentence ("on which I go" rather than the more natural "which I go on") pokes fun at a rule of formal writing (as the M.L.A. explains) that no sentence should end with a preposition.
Definitions of Strong Bad's "regal" language:
- bequeath: To leave or give (personal property) by will. To pass (something) on to another; hand down
- quiver(ed): To shake with a slight, rapid, tremulous movement
  - A quiver is also a case for carrying arrows or the arrows in a quiver. All this is just a Regal way of saying ARROWED!
- tuppence: British variant of twopence, or two pennies.

Remarks

After Homsar says "Caramel corn for president, please", his hat performs a loop, but does not come to rest on his head, but a few inches above it. This could be a goof, or it could just be the unpredictable nature of Homsar's hat.

This is the first time we've ever heard Coach Z actually laugh.

Inside References

One of the books in Strong Bad and Strong Mad's Reading Rampage is titled "The R in Routine", a reference to one of Strong Bad's lines in morning routine.
The Poetry Club is really Bubs' Ha-Ha-Halloween Comedy Club, with the banner draping over it.
The scene in the Rampage video game easter egg of Strong Mad chasing the Cheat is also from morning routine.
"Poetry Slam" is the title of Strong Sad's character page.

Real-World References

On Strong Sad's CD (when "different" is clicked), there is a "Parental Advisory" warning for "Very Boring". This advisory is a parody of the advisories found on music albums containing explicit lyrics or otherwise offensive content.
- Parental Advisory labels became required by most record companies in America following the 1985 "Porn Rock" congressional hearings spearheaded by the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC), led by Tipper Gore.
The Cheat uses an old '80's Fisher-Price record player to "drop some beats."
The "rampages" Easter egg is, of course, a reference to the arcade game Rampage, published by Bally Midway in 1986.
Strong Sad mentions iambic pentameter, which is a syllable pattern used in poetry. An iamb is a pair of syllables, the first unstressed and the second stressed. Iambic pentameter is five iambs per line. Strong Sad says 'The quill! The page! Lyric, rampage! Word up?' in exaggerated iambic pentameter.
- Iambic pentameter was popular with such poets as William Shakespeare and Geoffrey Chaucer, and was for a long time the standard English meter.
The M.L.A. Handbook for Writers of Research Papers is a guide for punctuation, quotation, and documentation of sources published by the Modern Language Association (http://www.mla.org/). It is the most popular standard for academic writing.
Strong Bad calling Strong Sad "DJ Dumpy Dump" could be a reference to the rapper Humpty Hump (who Coach Z once dressed up as for Halloween).
Strong Bad's insult of "round mound of gray fatness" towards Strong Sad could be derived in part from the nickname of former NBA player Charles Barkley, the "Round Mound of Rebound." Also, Ruben Studdard, who won American Idol in 2003 and bears more than a slight resemblance to Strong Sad in shape, is sometimes known as the "Round Mound of Sound."
"Smart Investing for Jerks" is a reference to the numerous ...For Dummies books, which insult the reader in their title.

Selecting "Why wear pants" will bring up some fortune cookies, similar to those in the old Fortune Cookies game. As you hover the cursor over each one, it brings up a sentence of Strong Bad's "improved" email.
Clicking on the socket under the table after Strong Bad says "Clown Care" brings up a business card for the service, Kertified Klown Kare. It reads:

Remarks

Homestar has been known to wear pants for certain Holiday Toons.
This is also the first time that Homestar wears pants outside of a Holiday Toon.
Perhaps Strong Bad doesn't answer the original question because we already found out why Homestar doesn't wear pants in an Easter Egg to monument. Homestar was distracted by the Thnikkaman and never wound up putting pants on.
They might not be blue soles glued to the bottom of his feet but actual shoes, according to New Boots anyway.
- Or, also he refers to them as shoes in Everybody Knows It, where he says, "So, I guess it's back to putting dog food in my shoes, huh?"
This email is much shorter than most recent emails, being at least half a minute shy of its predecessor.

Goofs

Although Strong Bad puts pressure onto the Lappy's screen when trying to rub off the marker and when applying the white out, no ripples pop up on the screen.

Strong Bad opens up Edga Jr. and when it goes away, all the text written before it is gone.

After he clears the screen and starts writing about the age old question, Homestar comes in. you can clearly see the text the whole time Homestar is there, but when Homestar leaves and Strong Bad turns back to the Lappy, it's gone.

The Klown Kare easter egg (by clicking on the socket) can still be clicked in the same location on the screen when the scene moves around.

When Homestar appears on the Lappy's screen, He isn't covered by the correction fluid, but rather, he shows up on top of it.

When Homestar appears close-up to the camera, if you zoom in, you can see that the disk label is garbled, like it would be in a .jpeg file. Also, the table outline is a little bigger. But you cannot see it very well, because Homestar moves too fast, and the picture is gone before you have a chance to realize it, normally.

Inside References

Edga Jr. is a reference to the e-mail virus, where his ambiguous relation, Edgar, created Strong Bad's virus protection program.
- Edga Jr. bears a striking resemblance to Tompkins and Ron Cumberdale, one of the things the The Three Keepers of Trogdor turn you into if you get one of their questions wrong.
The "light pen" is based on the one from haircut - there, it was a black marker.
Homestar's pixellated form is from Main Page 13 and In Search of the Yello Dello.
The business card easter egg makes reference to the Tragic Clown Dog from part-time job.
Homestar says "Everybody everybody" in his tirade, a reference to the Intro.
Marzipan's line about people thinking she's a broom (Along with Homestar's response) is a reference to Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 11.2 where Homestar leaves a message calling Marzipan an "old broomstick".

Before things break out between the Homestar Wiki people and me, I'd like to say that ALL of the content from the weekly SBE updates I do are taken from HRWiki.org . If their information was taken out of the posts ever, I appoligize.

I want it to be clear that I only offer the content as a mirror to the informaiton avaliable at that time on their site.

I like to offer something they don't, which is the ability to view the SBE inside of my page without having to go to a seperate link. If you click on the little film strip next to any SBE on my site it will play right there. A nifty feature using ActiveRendering.

So, I noticed a bunch of traffic from their site about a post that is now only in the MOD area. I have emailed all the mods explaining what I do. I do not even know what the post was about or why it is now in Mod only status. I signed up for an account to try to see the post, but now it is unavailable.

This is the first time where we see Strong Bad's whole body walking towards the viewer.
This is the first email where all twelve main characters appear in person. (The Poopsmith and Pom-Pom were only on playing cards in your friends and different town, respectively.)

Goofs

You can still click the contrast buttons on the Tandy while the opera is playing.
When roses are being thrown with the Lappy in the background, you can't see the reflection of the roses on the Lappy screen.
The Poopsmith, Bubs and Pom Pom all remain motionless when the cast yells "SBEMAIL!".
When the cast yells "SBEMAIL!" Strong Mad's mouth appears on Homsar's torso for a few seconds.

The shoes that walk across the screen are the back button of the old main page.
On the second making-fun-of-Anonymous piece-of-paper, Anonymous has his hands glued to his butt, which also happened to Strong Sad in the e-mail 1 step ahead.
The Teen Girl Squad character Tompkins can be found on the second making-fun-of-Anonymous piece-of-paper, in his miniaturized form from Teen Girl Squad Issue 7.
When Strong Bad's typing starts going awry as The Cheat is throwing roses at him, he types "the chicks" as "teh chekts", a reference to the immediately preceding Strong Bad E-mail secret recipes.

Strong Bad's "Ándale! Ándale! Arriba! Arriba!" at the end is quoting the famous Warner Bros. cartoon mouse Speedy Gonzales, except backwards as Speedy usually says Arriba! Arriba! Ándale! Ándale!
The electric guitars in the opera are (or are modeled after) Gibson Flying Vs.
The amps are modeled after Marshall stacks, but instead of "Marshall," the logo reads "An Amp". These were also used in different town, but labelled "Marzipan".
Sbemail, in containing multiple sections of different styles, is remiscent of such songs as the Who's "A Quick One, While He's Away" and (more famously) Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody."

This is the first reference to any of Strong Bad's (potential) family besides Strong Sad, Strong Mad, and his parents.
A "poopaw" may be a reference to Strong Bad's father (or grandfather). A few similar sayings are "meemaw" (or "mamaw") for a grandmother, and a "papaw" for a grandfather.
When Homestar walks in on Strong Bad and The Cheat, he mixes up their names and greets them as "Cheat and The Strong Bad", transposing the "The". This is a new variation on Homestar's tendency to screw up other peoples' names.

Remarks

Strong Bad remarks about the possibility of something being just plain 'couth'. Couth means "possessing a high degree of sophistication" or "refined". Someone as literate as Strong Bad should know that.

Goofs

When Strong Bad reads the "pimecone" card, the computer screen is almost blank... but still has "and well-wishers." written on it in the same area where Strong Bad typed it before.
When Coach Z bounces the basketball, it sounds like a dodgeball instead of a basketball.
When Strong Bad is talking to The Cheat flinging the discs, if you manage to zoom in on the Lappy's screen, you'll find out that some different stuff are typed in (not all are shown, due to Strong Bad's head blocking the screen while talking to The Cheat):

The newspaper Marzipan is reading is the exact same one (down to the repeating text) she was reading in Strong Bad Is In Jail Cartoon.
The effect used before Strong Bad and Homestar Runner show off their recipes was previously used in radio.
The book titled "So You Want to Cook a Wrestleman" is a nod to the sketch of Strong Bad labeled "Wrestleman" that appeared in the Sketchbook.
- In the homestarmy email, SB was also referred to as a "two-bit wrestleman". In the online auction easter egg in the english paper email, Homestar refers to strong bad as "some type of wrestle man."
Homestar's use of the word "pimecone" instead of "pinecone" is reminiscent of his usage of the word "pamcakes" instead of "pancakes" in montage.
This is also the second time that Strong Bad's cooking has made Coach Z puke, the first time was in couch patch

The King of Town's quip about the deodorants being "strong enough for a man" is a reference to "Secret" brand deodorant ads.
Bumdumbourge and Totalslava could be loose references to the country of Luxembourg (and possibly many European cities whose names end in -burg or -bourg) and the city of Bratislava (the capital of Slovakia).
"Old King Droll" is a reference to the nursery rhyme "Old King Cole."
The floppy disk reads "Battle Chess", an early-90s-era chess game for the PC that featured animated chess pieces that fought with each other when trying to occupy the same square.

This is the only Teen Girl Squad issue to date where all four girls clearly die.
This is the first appearance of a main character other than Strong Bad (namely, Pom Pom) in a Teen Girl Squad issue (Outside of an easter egg).
Judging from how the girls hold their guitars, Whats Her Face is left-handed. Likewise, Cheerleader is right-handed.
Other than Issue 1 with "ARROWED", this is the only issue where nobody is something'd. The Ugly One is floor tommed, step-mommed, and pom-pommed, but not floor tom'd, step-mom'd, and pom-pom'd.
As The Ugly One is doing her "16-Hour Drum Solo", her arms wrap around her body a couple of times.

Goofs

The die that crushes So And So is a 20-sided die. Twelve-sided dice have pentagonal faces.
During Kissy Boots' first practice session, both Whats Her Face and Cheerleader are playing basses, possibly Fender basses, judging from the arrangement of string keys.

Inside References

"Ooncha ooncha one, two, three-cha" is from Teen Girl Squad Issue 7.
Sega tapes are also mentioned in anything.
Strong Bad is called a "prinicpal" (note the misspelling) by his nameplate and Tompkins, just like in the Homestar Quiz and CGNU.
The "-erson" tacked onto Mrs. So and So's name is done the same way that it was tacked onto Mrs Commander's name in Teen Girl Squad Issue 7. Other "ersons" appear in Issue 4 (Brett Bretterson) and "the process" (Emerson).
When So and So talks about Tompkins being a renegade, she has an expression on her face reminiscent of Deauregard in lackey.

Real-World References

"Breadtangle" refers to cafateria pizzas which are rectangular in shape.
"Fatty's Big Chance," or at least Fatty, is the stereotypical Ska musician, with a shaved head, checkerboard pants, and a chant of "pick it up, pick it up."
One of the Ugly One's drums bears the inscription, "Mr Drummond", who was character in the 80's TV show, "Different Strokes". It may also have been a reference to Bill "King Boy" Drummond of the techno band The KLF.
The Sega "tape" Tompkins steals in the easter egg is "Road Rash".
The robot who introduces the battle of the bands may be a reference to Saved by the Bell, where the character Screech creates a similar-looking robot friend.
The speakerbox as the robots head may be a reference to Roundhouse, an early '90s Nickelodeon skit comedy show.

The backwards joke first appeared in 2 emails.
The Female Lappy 486 is the second character Missy Palmer has voiced.
Strong Bad's dreamail dinner table is made from the front door from the show "227" and is signed by actress Jackeé Harry who played Sandra Clark on the late 80's sitcom.
Strong Bad has two Cadbury's Creme Eggs on his plate. These are chocolate easter eggs with "cream" (which is pretty much frosting) inside. They're sold around Easter in the US, but are available year-round in the United Kingdom.
The phrase "all up ons" is from the email suntan.
At the end of this email, The Paper seems to have been replaced by either the original or a copy of the United States Constitution.
As opposed to most other emails, the end screen does not have any sort of 'back' button.
The Floppy Disk Container this week contains Miner 2049er for the Atari 2600.
The pink border is a reference to Saved by the Bell, which also used the exact same border for its dream sequences, along with many other TV shows.
When Strong Bad is lifted by the strings, it may be a double reference to both A Decemberween Pageant and dangeresque 3 when a similar thing happens to Homestar Runner.
"Forever young" is a reference to a Bob Dylan song and also appears in an easter egg in personal favorites.
"Stew", sung in Strong Bad's intro, may be a reference to different town, where Strong Bad says the best thing is beef stew.
The "ping" noises in the submarine scene are from the beginning of the Pink Floyd song "Echoes."
"Get your head in the game is a reference to english paper.
The abbreviation for "Monsieur" is "M.", but it is misspelled as "Mssr." in the "French Countryside" e-mail.

Fun Facts

"preeeow" is what Strong Bad says in autobiography and haircut, when attempting to prompt the printer to print out The Paper.
"What do you mean do I do anything besides checking e-mails" is a question and Strong Bad didn't use a question mark.
The "Hundredaire Socialite magazine" easter egg features the familiar faces of Mike and Matt Chapman; the photo is from Peasant's Quest Preview.
You can still make the circles appear on the LCD screen when the power shuts off.
You can keep clicking on "preeow" to make the Paper come down again and again.
"The League of Me and the Cheat Ice-Cream Socials" is a play probably a play on the League of Women Voters Ice Cream Socials
Bubs has apparently discontinued his "free weekly spamvertisements" from unused emails, from which Strong Bad was making 1250 dollars (5000 emails x a quarter each) every time he sold a disk of addresses.
In the easter egg, Strong Bad sings two notes at the same time on the word "true."
