Everyone's has their favorite podcasters out there. Since this whole podcasting revolution started a whole few months ago, podcasting celebrities have popped up everywhere. Adam Curry with his Daily Source Code, Dave Slusher with Evil Genius Chronicles, Michael Geoghegan with Reel Reviews, Michael Butler with The Rock and Roll Geek Show, Pete Prodoehl with RasterWeb Audio Jimbob and Esther waaay up in Talkeetna, Alaska.

But, I think that nearly everyone that listens to podcasts, listens to The Dawn and Drew Show! This is one of the most outrageous things I have ever heard, and I can't stop listening. Tens of thousands download their podcast and pray for their next episode. They might not have the frequency of shows that Adam Curry puts out, but their off the wall, crazy, hysterical, and incredible efforts are heard on iPods throughout the world.

Their quest for Global Domination cannot be accomplished yet though.

These two podcasters live on their farm up in Wisconsin. They aren't web millionaires like the Prince of Pod, and didn't create RSS like Dave Winer. They are just two people living their lives and working for everything they have. This is where I decided to enter into their life.

I called up their voicemail line (206) 666-FUCK and left them a message the day the new iPod shuffle came out. I wanted to help them out.

How can we have podcasters without iPods?

Drew and I began to speak back and forth and the next day I bought Dawn an iPod shuffle. She just got it and reviewed it on the show on January 18th.

Now someone has sent them a 1G iPod, but that thing is SOOO outdated. We need latest and greatest for our favorite podcasters.

That is why today, I am launching http://www.BuyDrewAniPod.com. I don’t want to just buy Drew and iPod, I want the podcast community (listeners and podcasters and developers) to come and party together. Let’s raise the funds to:

buy Drew an iPod photo 60 gig!

This is a big task and we need EVERYBODY to join in the effort. There is a donate button on this site where you donate any amount towards this cause.

The amount required is $608.83!

This is using my student discount at the Apple store and including Florida Tax.

If anyone can figure out the scripting to link a paypal account balance to show on a website that would be an incredible help, until then…when someone donates I will change the amount left.

I need the help of everyone out there. I need helps with graphics but mainly all you have to do is donate! Put in a buck, put in ten…whatever you can give will be completely appreciated.

I know that this community can do this. We all saw what happened when Adam Curry put out the call for the gentleman moving to the UK and his dog situation. Let’s team together and do this. That was thousands of dollars…this is barely $600! We can do it.
