07 Feb 07 Gmail: Open for everyone

Anyone has been able to sign up for Gmail for quite some time now, by simply signing up for any other Google service, or via a text message verification in the US. Long gone are the days of begging people for invites to Gmail.

Well now it’s wide open. Anyone can enjoy the over 2.8 gigs of storage on Gmail. I personally have replaced Gmail with for nearly every email account I use, besides Outlook for work I even use Google Hosted Services for my personal email through this site.

I personally recommend using the secure Gmail site. You get all the benefits of Gmail with Google Talk included and it’s secure. Use this page instead of the standard site: https://mail.google.com/mail
