19 Jan 07 Google takes away map choice
Google used to offer a choice of online map sites when you would enter in a geographic location into the search. They now only offer their own service. Honestly, I say why not. It’s their search results, I would expect for another one of their services to be advertised.
Google does still offer a choice when you type in a stock symbol for all of the online finance services, including their own.

I’m completely floored by their decision to do this. Mapquest pwns j00!!!! Not really though. Google Maps, double true!
