I really have begun to hate posting Apple rumors, because no one knows if they are real, and are subject to change on a moments notice. That being said, I love reading Apple rumors, but again take them with a grain of salt.

That being said, Kevin Rose formerly of TechTV and of Digg.com fame, has accurately predicted the iPod nano, Core 2 Duo Macbook and Macbook Pros. By doing so he’s earned a bit of reputation for being accurate when he spews out an Apple rumor.

Here are the details he’s found out about the upcoming iPhone.

• Coming in January to all providers • 2 batteries (1 MP3, 1 Phone) • 2 capacities (4GB & 8GB) • Prices will run $249 & $449 • Flash memory (surprise) • Slide out keyboard • Touchscreen (on outside) • “Cool” OS .

I have to say, that it certainly doesn’t sound like a Blackberry killer for me, but there is rumor’d to be work started on a 2nd generation of the iPhone.

Either way, it’s refreshing to hear a phone will hit all providers at the same time, not like the staggered approach by nearly every other model of cell phone. At $249, I wouldn’t mind having a second phone. It’s not like I’ve ever had 3 or more active phones with me before
