Thought Out has announced a new “Key” for the second generation iPod shuffle. I was disapointed when I saw the new iPod shuffle wouldn’t be acting as a usb thumb drive like the previous version (which you can buy for $29).

Thought Out has announced a small keychain device that will turn the new shuffle back into a thumb drive. Since the sync of the new shuffle runs through the headphone jack, this device turns the headphone jack into a usb port that is easy to carry around and attach whenever you need.

It is slated to come out some time in the early part of 2007 for around $22.
