This video is a little long, but the ironic part is I COMPLETLY understand where this woman is coming from, having a Blackberry 8700g myself. It is tough to not look at this thing all the time, since it’s constantly going off.
Apparently, Apple is now including that you should purchase Parallels in it’s Touche “Get a Mac” ad. It doesn’t show up on the HD version, but the other versions contain the message, “Purchase of Windows and Parallels software required.” It even says the same thing on the splash screen after the video is played.
The Boot Camp page is still available on the Apple Web site, but I wonder how long it will be until Apple buys Parallels, or is able to get it’s functionality in OS X (Leopard).
I want to point out, that the first two google search items for boot camp are for Apple’s Boot camp…there is no mention of any sort of armed forces boot camp until the 5th item down.
There have been pictures of white MacBooks with “oil” residue from hands resting on the notebook, and I can see small spots where this could eventually evolve into something nasty on mine.
Enter the Marware Protection pack for the white or black MacBook. It includes a wrist rest and a microfiber laptop keyboard cover. It says that it leaves no residue when removing. Sounds like the perfect solution.
They also make one for iBooks, PowerBooks, and MacBook Pros. All models are only $19.95, well worth it if you ask me.
Update: It seems as if the yellow color is occuring even if there is some sort of shield or protection on the MacBook. This is not simply an issue of cleaning your hands everytime you use your system, it’s a issue in the design. Apple needs to come up with a solution ASAP. For now I will be using my Marware Protection Pack to cover up the yellow that is starting to show, but this isn’t a permanent solution.
Digg launched it’s 3rd major version. I’ve been on Digg since day 1, back when it was an exclusive beta test. I’ve seen it grow, and I have to say, this is the best version yet. Not only is it visually better, it’s expanded.
It now has Technology, Science, World & Business, Videos, Entertainment, and Gaming. You can view all topics, remove specific topics, etc.
Time to sell off some stuff I have lying around, and don’t use anymore.
T-Mobile Blackberry 7290…I’ve upgraded to the Blackberry 8700 (and maybe Sidekick 3). This is the Blackberry that has become the industry standard. Great for a phone, IM client, Google maps, 411, PUSH email, and will work on corporate and non-corp networks. It’s the phone that got me to switch from the Sidekick series, so it HAS to be a great phone.
Casio EX-Z57 5 megapixel 2.7″ screen - I upgraded to the 10 megapixel model, and thus mine is up for sale. I bought it less than a year ago for around $300….eBay prices are around $200 for it now. This is a great camera, and I’ve used it at MANY tech events, and pratically every picture in my Flickr stream has been taken with it (granted I’m not the most professional photographer either). I will have a link for this auction up as soon as I can.
