Finally the rumors are true, St. Petersburg, Fl is going to be one of the next cities to offer free WiFi. I doubt it will embody the entire city of St. Pete, but downtown is certainly to be covered. The plans call for a network to be up and running no later than early 2007.

It seems like they want to do this ASAP. I can’t wait. I only wish I still live in downtown St. Pete, instead of north St. Pete.
