I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this, but I REALLY don’t like to code. I programmed in high school and barely kept up. I may be techy and all, but that is one area I fall short on.
I have a very specific need for help with 2 web projects where I am using the API from Flickr, YouTube and Wordpress. I have API keys from all of them, but other than that….I’m pretty much stuck.
I want to use php to do all of the functions and I know that xml-rpc will be used as well.
Is there anyone that knows how to do all this stuff? Any tips/pointers? Any assistance will help out in more ways than you know.
Email me with any advice you have.

This is pretty sweet. Let me tell you the steps:
1. Goto Google.com
2. Replace EVERYTHING in the address bar and enter this:
javascript:alert(document.cookie=”PREF=ID=fb7740f107311e46:TM=1142683332:
LM=1142683332:S=fNSw6ljXTzvL3dWu;path=/;domain=.google.com”)
Make sure all of the code is there and on one line. Press enter thru all the errors it gives you, then search away.
It’s a look at what might be coming….What do you think?

Seems we can’t catch a break here at FlickrLicio.us. This past week, as a personal expense I purchased a new $100/month server based on Rackspace servers to increase the speed and connectivity of the site.
If you are subscribed via the RSS feed, the images are still live for you, but if you come to the site directly, you will see no pictures currently. A while back Flickr blocked hotlinking from their site to this one and a number of others who do the same type of thing. Well they’ve done it again.
Previously they asked that 15 or under pics be displayed per page….we complied.
They asked that no ads be displayed, but per Stewart (President of Flickr) I was allowed 1 block of Google type ads….we complied.
I even rewrote the page to use less bandwidth, and yet the site is blocked again. The site has never made a single red cent of profit in any way. Now with an expense of over $100 per month…it’s difficult to move on when we are blocked while following the rules.
I’ve emailed Stewart Butterfield and Heather Champ (Community Manager at Flickr) regarding this situation, I recommend that you do so as well.
If the site remains blocked, there is always the RSS feed, and you can subscribe via Email as well if you aren’t to keen on the whole RSS thing. I will keep you up to date on the progress. Thanks for being such loyal subscribers. We hope that the experience can only become more enjoyable as we move into the future.

After this hastle today of switching my numbers around and getting my Blackberry setup, I barely want to talk about cell phones…but this little tidbit just came to me under my comments.
New comment on your post #721 “Sidekick III?”

Comment:
April 2006 it goes on sale in the U.S.A. !!!
(I hid the IP address for the person’s protection)
Now I went to Sharpsec.com and found that it is Sharp’s website. Now this may not strike you are strange, but if you take into consideration that Sharp is the manufacturer of the Sidekick product created by Danger, then YES this is HUGE!
Now Tmobile is ultimatetly the one who will determine the launch date, but I’m sure they give the makers a timeframe to get enough to go to market with.
If the person who kindly left the comment ever wants to email me directly
about any other specifics about the phone (bluetooth, EDGE, Gtalk, etc) I would be willing to keep their identity confidential.
Looks like Gizmodo got a tip about April being the launch as well.
So you heard it here first….The Sidekick 3 WILL be out in April! Digg this story.
Update: Looks like June 26th is the unofficial launch date now.

The Joy of Tech is just about my favorite tech cartoon site. They have done it again with another great cartoon about Apple possibly not holding a 30th Anniversary event. Check it out.

Now I’ve really enjoyed using a Sidekick ever since they came out. I’ve had every model, and upgraded the second the newest one came out. I have also returned every model for one reason or another about once a month the entire time I’ve had the phone.
Well the guys at Dreamhost (my current host…which I think they are just a cool company), apparently use Sidekicks as well…it’s just they decided to take out a bit of rage on a certain SKII.
Take a look.
