Well see ya later TextPayMe, Paypal has launched a mobile phone version of their service. It is pretty much the same thing, only with Paypal having a broader audience, I think it’s safe to say that paying for items thru your cell phone will soon be something that is quite mainstream.

There is even talk of not just using the service to send money from person to person, but also “Text to Buy” ads.

Anytime you see Text to Buy next to something you want to buy—on a poster, in a magazine, at an event—you can securely order the item by text message. Use your phone to buy items like CDs, DVDs, books, electronics, accessories and much more.

I think this is a huge turning point in the way the world considers a traditional transaction.
