Google desktop is now out of beta. The last time a Google product came out of beta was Google News. This release includes a new widget called the “Quick Search Box” that makes it more convenient to find what you’re looking for by enabling you to search the web, email and your local computer. The quick search box can be displayed and hidden any time you press the control key twice.
