Paid subscription podcast in iTunes
Nick Starr | March 9, 2006
Apple is bending to the will of Rush Limbaugh. His Rush 24/7 service has offered podcasting for quite a while now of his show at $7/month, but it has never been able to work with iTunes.
Well apparently they worked with Apple to allow restricted access to the podcasts. Rush 24/7 members have to enter their username and password one time, and that’s it.
An update like this would seem to require an updated version of iTunes. It is expected to launch on or after Monday.
I wonder if Apple is open to others wanting to charge for podcasts?
