I need a laptop ASAP

I am so torn right now. I need a laptop for school, but I want to get a 17 inch mac laptop. Of course I want the MacBook Pro, but it is only in a 15 inch model.
Why didn’t they come out with the 17 (and maybe 12) inch model at the same time?
The MacBook Pro 1.67 has the same processor speed, but dual core. Only an 80 gig SATA drive, where as the 17″ comes with 120 gig ATA (both 5400 RPM).
Both have SuperDrives. Both have 128 megs of video ram. Both have 512 ram built in (different clock speeds).
It’s just a tough decision. If I get the MacBook, I know that I will sell it for the 17″ when they come out, but the same goes for the PowerBook 17″ if I got that.
I guess the MacBook is going to have a higher resell value. What’s a guy to do?
