Nokia 770 Internet Tablet

Nokia 770 Internet Tablet, originally uploaded by NickStarr.
I got this yesterday, because I was dying not having a way to browse the internet in a mobile fashion, now that my iBook is sold. I won’t be getting the MacBook Pro until they come out in about a month.
This thing is a little buggy, but I was downtown last night for a free Simple Plan concert, and the opening band SUCKED! So, I hopped on one of the open wifi’s and browsed for a while.
Mobile Bloglines is amazing on this thing. It doesn’t support AJAX features like the “Blog this” in Flickr, and with Digg I can’t “digg” stories.
There is a vast community of hackers creating software for the device. I need to install gaim on it, although the next software update should have an im client, as well as VOIP support.
I might keep it, not sure, it’s cool…only time will tell.

Nick Starr.com : Nick Starr dot com » 2006 Remembered | January 2, 2007[...] January: The movie Hostel came out, and made a bunch of people sick. I bought a Nokia 770 Internet tablet, and took it with me as I waited in line at Chick-Fil-A overnight. Even had it at the Gasparilla Pirate parade here in Tampa. Oh and how can I forget all of the work done to FlickrLicio.us Mobile to improve it. [...]
