12 Dec 05 Wendy’s FREE airplane ticket

First off let me say, I really don’t like fast food. I can’t remember the last time I’ve gone to a fast food place on purpose. Whataburger doesn’t count, because it is good food fast.

Well my friend has been crazed about this whole Wendy’s & Airtran free airplane ticket thing, that I heard about on Dawn and Drew. I was laughing at him as that he would text me about how he was watching people and running up to them before they threw away their cup.

Well I went there two days ago, in order to get cups for him…well I’ve caught the craze. Here’s the details.

Buy a cup that is a medium or larger ($1.16 in Florida) and it has a piece on the side. You send in 32, you get a free 1 way trip. Send in 64, you get a free roundtrip ticket. You send in 128 you get TWO roundtrip tickets. 128 is the max.

The airline operating this is Airtran. They fly right out Tampa, to many cities I’d love to visit.

WOW 2 free tickets, even if you paid for each soda, that would be $148.48, nice. Now you have to pay the taxes, but still.

Now here comes the scheming in me. If you get a refill, they 9 times out of 10, give you a new cup. Sweet, so that decreases the price in half. I have gotten a cup from someone that was throwing his away. I am up to 12 cups.

They stop selling these tickets at the end of the year, but they don’t have to be in until February.

P.S. There are many who might say that I will need two tickets, as that 128 trips to Wendy’s would make a person freaking huge, but I am not eating any Wendy’s food at all, just getting Diet Cokes.

Update 2: I will buy them as well…the going rate is $25 for 100. I will take anyone up on that deal. That is $0.25 a piece…if you have any multiple of that, I will buy in any qty you have!
