06 Dec 05 TiVo Podcasts, ehh it’s okay

My new free TiVo* that I got recently now has the Yahoo, Fandango, and podcast software on it.

 

I took a couple of shots of the podcasting last night. I listened to Episode 202 of the Dawn and Drew Show!, and Episode 42 of Nobody Likes Onions (the one I was on), thru my TiVo last night.

 

It seems as if it streams the show, and there is no way to fastforward. I didn’t even try pausing though, hmm. The interface is pretty nice, although the podcasts they list are VERY limited.

 

Typing in the rss feed of your favorite podcast takes some time, maybe podcasts should use TinyURL for their show’s feed for TiVo users.

It is pretty nice, but very limited. I don’t think I will use it for listening to tons of podcasts, especially with an iPod, two mac computers, and one pc around that I can listen to it on. Certainly worth a try if it’s on your TiVo.

BTW, I didn’t receive any notification that it was on my TiVo, just had to check the Photos and more section.
