25 Oct 05 Front Row on my iBook
Browsing thru the blogs and stumbled across this article on Gizmodo.
So I went to work and tried my finger out at this whole bittorrent thing. Well I have to say that Front Row works on iBook G4. Of course the remote doesn’t work since there is no IR sensor, but I wonder if there is a usb ir sensor that I could add on. The DVD player doesn’t work for me either, but the movie trailers are one of the coolest parts of the whole thing.

go to http://www.mininova.org and search for front row….thats where i got it from and it works great!
do a search at http://www.isohunt.com for dvd player 4.6.2, its the new version of dvd player that comes with the new imacs. you can dl it and it will then make your front row work with dvd.
I installed it on my Powerbook and it works great. I little hiccup here and there but otherwise great.

Since Front Row got updated by Apple, getting the actual app can be done from their website as an update, which is then installed through an open-source package handler/installer.
