Well looks like the “Web Clips” mentioned abou Gmail are real. At least for my account, my friend emailed me and he said he didn’t have any such thing. Nothing spectacular about it, but I wonder if Google will ever challenge Bloglines or any of the other online RSS readers. Click on the different pics to see the details of the service. Looks like they have a large selection of feeds already built in, and you can of course add your own. (Digg this Story)
Well, I’ve done it. I put my iPod 60 gig on eBay. I bought the iPod photo 60 the day they came out from Apple and just two days ago returned it to the Apple Store and got a brand new iPod color 60 gig in the wrapping. I decided that I am going to take a chance with lady luck and put this iPod on eBay. It is brand new, so it should fetch a bit more.
Now I’ve had the iPod 60 for over a year I’m sure…and it is about time for Apple to bump the top line iPods. They have not done a single thing to the high end iPods in over a year. With this “special event” on Sept 7th, I am betting on a Video iPod or at least an iPod 80 gig. Apple sent out only this message to the media: “1000 songs in your pocket changed everything. Here we go again.”
Sure they might launch the iTunes phone, which I DO NOT even give a crap about…but something tells me they are going to do soemthing to the iPod top end as well…call it a hunch or maybe something more, but I think video is on the way.
One reason I do not think Apple will change the iPod mini is that they still list their recent upgrade to it as the “new iPod mini”. The Shuffle might get a bump since it isn’t showing as new.
Hell if they don’t do a video iPod, I can always get the Creative Zen Vision and sign up for the Yahoo! Music Serviceand have all the songs I want for $4.95/month, and also download video from my TiVo, which I seem to not be finding enough time to watch at home.
Plus either way, I can look at it as getting a new mp3 player for my bithday which is 4 days after the “special event”.
One final though, if they come out with a signifigantly new line of iPods, will iTunes go to 5.0?
Update: Sold!
Lights on on, but no one is home.
I ran into this the other day when I went to iMall (International Plaza) in Tampa. The wifi was working from Apple so I sat in one of the plush chairs and surfed for a bit.
I guess Abercrombie and Fitch had got stuck by lightning and caught a fire that spread to the electronic room. Half of the mall was without power for 2 days.
Guess God was issuing his rath for A&F’s softcore porn and directions on oral sex and 3 ways in their catalog.
Okay now Rob over at AreYouAGeek Podcast is making me jealous with his new purchase of the Dual Phone.
It does Skype and regular calls. Now that I have Vonage at home, this would be a great purchase for me, or my birthday is coming up in 12 days

In Show #133, Dawn and Drew talk about Drew giving his 4 week notice to his job. He is quitting to become a Full Time Podcaster with PodShow.
I saw CONGRATZ to two of my favorite podcasters in their new uncharted profession. I think it’s about time that they start making some money for what they do.
Drew also posted about this on his blog (rss).
P.S. Ironically Drew’s last day at his job is his 1 year anniversary of podcasting.
