Florida Tax Free* till July 31st

Now through July 31, the State of Florida is having a sales tax holiday that exempts clothing, books, and school supplies. School supplies must cost less than $10 in order to qualify for exemption, while books and clothing items must total $50 or less.

Connecticut: August 21 through August 27;
Georgia: July 28 through July 31;
Iowa: August 5 through August 6;
Massachusetts: August 13;
Missouri: August 5 through August 7;
North Carolina: August 5 through August 7;
South Carolina: August 5 through August 7;
Texas: August 5 through August 7.

that’s great that Floridians get a tax-free time, but why such strict restrictions? it doesn’t defeat the purpose, but it does question the intent.
