07 Jul 05 Starrbux post ….sorry I’ve been sick

Sorry everyone, but I have been quite under the weather. I think I am overcoming it now, but yesterday I was REALLY feeling bad. I want to say Happy Birthday to my mom (it was yesterday and I don’t feel like cheating and changing the date of the blog entry…although I should )

Things are looking pretty nasty out there for hurricane season, with our first big one going to hopefully graze us a little. I will say that I will take hurricane as a trade off for cold weather and snow.

I got a comment that I should head over to the Globe and go there to catch more USF and SPC (local college) hotties. I have an interresting story about what happend at the Globe.

The funny thing is i almost got kicked out.

See their policy is that you HAVE to buy SOMETHING. I didn’t know this at all, as that I was just going with some friends to hang out there. I wasn’t even on my lappy or anything.

So after arguing that SBux doesn’t make you buy anything…I go up the counter and get a piece of candy they got up there…i didn’t know how much it costs..but I was buying SOMETHING.

I go to check out and they say umm..no you have to buy something that costs $1…THEY DIDN’T SAY THAT PREVIOUSLY…These people could say whatever they want to make money.

Well eventually mark (my friend) goes up and buys something else and says that he is buying it for me. They allow me to stay. I really haven’t been back since. But if you are looking for that atomsphere, they certainly got it going for them. It is almost like a cult the people who go there though, they ALL know each other and typically are banging one of another. oh and the age
can range from 14-30’s ….

So I think after that retelling of my Globe story, I am lovin’ the enviroment here at Starbucks even more. Listening to Louis Armstrong play the trumpe and the smell of the coffee. This place is my perfect paradise. I guess I should be signing off and heading to my last night of Ethics Class….so until next time, and when I am feeling better….buh bye!
