Adam Curry is…the PodFinder?
28 06 2005Found this kinda strange…then again not much can surprise me now-a-days. Adam Curry is doing a third podcast/show now. It is called the PodFinder. Below is the description from iTunes. Also you can find the show’s blog/site at http://podfinder.podshow.com…it looks like from the description that Adam is getting paid from Apple for the show as well…Way to go Adam!
OMG…I just updated my iPod with the new software and ALL of the podcasts are bookmarkable mp3 files…They are regular mp3’s but the iPod seems to remember where you left off…. YIKES…What advantage does iPodderX have now?

OK StarrFinder…I tried to subscribe to this Curry Pocastast, but I tunes told me it was not a valid URL…is iTunes having some first Day Performance anxiety? Many of my favorite Podcasting sites are not working today…did Apple eat the Podcasting Starr’s?
“I just updated my iPod with the new software and ALL of the podcasts are bookmarkable mp3 files”
Any idea how to make plain ‘ol music mp3s bookmarkable too?
Is it just me or should it just be changed to the “Podshower”. Its just a vechile for hiim to plug his own shows. Shouldn’t he mention his interests? Even podcasts need to seem to be transparent!

… first Day Performance anxiety? How about first week. I listened to the Podfinder (it worked!), then decided to check out “Fly With Me”, the first show he plugged. No luck there. I Googled ‘Fly With Me’, and found the show’s website — it works fine from there, but not in iTunes.
Unfortunately not every service and technology is perfect right from the get go. I listened to the show and really like the way the chapters come thru. Glad to see so many people listening to podcast and keep spreading the word.
Simply because podcasting is built into iTMS 4.9, I got my friends who have known about podcasts as long as I have, yet never subscribed….they are now actively going thru the directory subscribing to everything they find that is cool. We are truly taking back the media…..We ARE the media!
Do you know if it will be possible for one podcast to link to a bookmarked segment in another podcast…returning control back to the sending podcast when the bookmarked segment is complete?
They are slow because getting listed on I-Tunes brought many podders too much traffic to their sites. See article: http://www.wired.com/news/digiwood/0,1412,68185,00.html?tw=wn_tophead_1
