Podcasting, Podcast, iPodder, etc.

Apple has shown they embrase these terms and are including them into iTunes 4.9. So, why does Apple's built in system wide spell check still show all of these words as mispelled?

OMG I'm watching the keynote from today..and the Podcast portion is so freaking hot. You can subscribe right from the iTunes Music Store. The way the shows are setup seems MUCH better than the current method.

Apple is even going to have their own podcast.

Oh yeah..multiple album art for an AAC track, with bookmarkable spots
for instantly jumping around the track. Here are some pics:

The image “http://photos13.flickr.com/17881425_8357f08129_o.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. From the Engadget WWDC Keynote coverage:

"10:12am PDT - Steve is explaining Podcasting. “TiVo for radio.” “Wayne’s World for radio.” “We see it as the hottest thing going in radio.” 8,000+ podcasts and growing.

10:14am PDT - “The pros have realized this is huge.” Rush Limbaugh, ABC News NBC News ESPN Disney Proctor & Gamble etc, long list. ot surprisingly, iTunes is adding Podcasting support, including a podcast directory in the iTMS. [Which is old news to us] “You don’t have to type URLs into iTunes, although you can still do that.” Demo: Adam Curry podcast in iTunes.

10:15am PDT - Curry sound bite: “Sixty million dollars worth of airplay strapped to my ass.” KCRW demo.

10:16am PDT - The Treatment KCRW show, with fat-sounding Kruder & Dorfmmeister theme music. The point being a podcast can sound as good as satellite radio. iTunes shows album cover art to go with songs being ‘cast."

Well I started a new job today and also moved to Nevada!!! Well....not completly true, but my cell phone provider believes so. I called them up after seeing this article about how to duck cell phone taxes. I then looked at the chart they link to in the article and saw that Florida is the 2nd highest in state and goverment taxes with a total of 21.60%. YIKES!

I then looked around and found that Nevada was at the bottom of the list with only 6.62%. That will save me around $80-$100 per year on taxes for my cell phone. I called up my cell phone provider and asked how they determined "area of primary use" and they said by whatever address we give them. So, I gave them an address in Nevada...kept my Florida number and will watch as my taxes go down. Now I have a bill pay service that is based out of Sioux Falls, SD and my bills will continue to go there.

I will say exactly what the author of the article said, "If a 'Florida' taxman wants my money, he can try calling 'my wireless service provider's' customer service and convincing them to change their tax assessment system."

Well the first week or three are going to be all training. Dry material about the history of the cable industry today.

In other news....no new Apple products today...and Apple is switching to Intel next year. Don't waste your money on a mac for the rest of this year.

Start my job today...and today is the WWDC Steve Jobs Keynote...If there is anything major that is announced, email it to GrrMobile [at] tmail [dot] com. Yes that is Tmail, on my Sidekick II.
