Wow am I sorry. I've been having such a great weekend and not even telling anyone about it.
Well it's been a long few weeks w/o a job, but I'm trying to find
things to keep me occupied till I start next Monday (same day as the
WWDC btw)
Saturday -
Let's see, my Aunt got married this weekend on a beautiful
paddle boat out in the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday. It was a beautiful
ceremony and I got to see lots of old family members I rarely get to
see. Her husband works for Budweiser so they provided an
after-reception party with TONS of "beverages" and lots of finger
foods.
I had a great evening chatting with family and hung out quite late that the hotel everyone was staying at.
Sunday -
Not too much happened, just hung out with my friends Mark,
Elizabeth, and Jimmy and scouted out a location for the memorial day
picnic we were planning. Oh yeah, we also went to Mark's pastor's house
for free food with about 100 other members of his church. (Seems like
Free Food was the motiff of the weekend)
Monday - Well this was a long day. Started with me waking up late for
the picnic. Drove out to the park and hung out with Mark, Elizabeth,
Kat, Sam, Mathew, Jimmy, and Stephanie. I've never met Steph before but
I've heard a story or two.
We all had a great time grilling out at this park that was so far out
of the way that there was virtually no one there...ON MEMORIAL DAY!
Afterwards everyone but Kat and Sam went over to my parents house to go
swimming for a while. I went swimming as well (which is a rare thing).
Now I should mention that before this, I noticed that Steph was fairly
attractive, but in a bathing suit...well...what girl isn't attractive
then.
We swam for a few hours and played around with the basketball
hoop over the pool, the fountain in the pool etc. Mark and Elizabeth
had to go to someone's house for dinner that night. Jimmy had a few
plans that evening with Steph, and she invited me along with them.
She and I went back to her place for her to change and pickup her
friend. It was his 28th birthday. We went to this small concert under a
tent not too far away and by us attending I think we bumped the average
age up a few years. There was 15-20 girls who couldn't of been a day
over 14.
Well the first guy we saw singing was singing accoustic about
diahreaah. Yeah...umm ...yuck. The last band was the main band and they
sang ska. We hung around till the end of that, and Jimmy decided we
should go to this church function with free food....FREE IS GOOD.
So we drive over there and it seems to be empty, until we go around
back. We hung around for a while and ate burgers, etc. I saw a few
people I knew and talked with them a bit. We left there after a while
and went to the Starbucks downtown at Baywalk. Mark and Elizabeth met
back up with us there and we were there till about they closed at 11pm.
Steph dropped off her friend and we went back to her place and talked
for a bit. All in all the day went pretty well, and was a great
Memorial Day Weekend. I ended up getting Steph's phone number and maybe
we can hang out and do something later. It's always nice to make new
friends.
