My first Automator Workflow!!!I am not sure if this will stand alone by itself, or if you will need to download these add-in options from Doug's AppleScripts for Automator. If so, download his items and install them then right click and install the workflow from me to convert all of your podcasts to bookmarkable AAC files.
This is a built in feature of iPodderX, but why pay for this feature if your OS can do it for you, automatically.
Now the steps I do require (because I can't figure out how to pull only from a specific genre yet (any tips on this would help), but you have to have a SmartPlaylist of all of your podcasts. I have one of only my unplayed podcasts..which is good enough for me.
I tried to get it to switch to the AAC converter in the workflow, but that didn't work out so well at first. I later figured out that you must have it before you choose the songs. DONE.
Well the only part you will have to do is in step 2, Get specified iTunes Items...choose the smartplay list of your unplayed podcasts.
THAT'S IT! Hit run and walk away from your computer for the night. This will take quite a while.
Again download Doug's Automtor items then download my workflow. I'm not sure how to install it automatically yet into your workflow folder. Any help on this would help too.
