It would seem like it was a busy weekend..and it was....so therefore it's time for this week's... Weekend Update

Friday - SIGH. Why can I never remember what happened on Friday. I ..oh yeah. I went to Bennigans for dinner and ended up staying there for dinner and desert. I think the waitress realized how much of a loser I was and didn't charge me for something. Whatever. I ended up tipping her the extra. Although the "straight edge" or "lawyer-istic" side of me wanted to advise her or the management that she was trying to get extra tip money by not charging for something. Oh well...I didn't. Maybe next time. I went home and that was the end of that night.

Saturday - Geez full day. Woke up and went over to my parent's house to help my mom download music to fill up her new iPod mini (pink) that I bought her. We...err...she ended up using AllofMp3.com to download songs. Spent about $5 on a ton of music and her iPod isn't even 1/3 filled.

Next was Ellenton. I was determined to go down there. I finally made it out there. It is basically an outlet mall. It doesn't have many shops I was interested in. I did end up getting a Versace credit card wallet and Coach money clip. Not much of a bargain either. I walked the whole thing in no time and was bored.

On driving home on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge I called my cousins to ask when the Saint Patrick's parade was and it was THAT NIGHT! I have been going for 4 years now with my Aunt and cousin's from Tampa. I went home and changed quickly and headed on over. Now I typically end up having a great time at this...and it has been the only parade I have gone to until Gasperilla this year. I have a system where I tend to get more beads than ANYONE. I have to be up on the front lines however and now crowded by like 87,000 people. It was so difficult I was a row back and everyone was taller than me. Too many hot babes near me were getting all the beads. It just sucked and I was over it. I was so bored I was posting to my site, here and here.

Not as much fun as I remember it. I ended up leaving around midnight-ish and just going home for the night.

Sunday - On Sunday I chilled out most of the day and caught up on some tv I had missed out on. It seems that my Wednesday -Friday shows all tend to be watched on the weekend.

Sunday night was the New Found Glory concert..and I really shouldn't of gone since there is really only about 2 songs of theirs that I know. I was so tired and just felt too old for the crowd. I posted about the concert from the concert here..and about my free $6.30 burger from Johnny Rockets...

That's it..the whole weekend. It seems like it should of been a whole heck of a lot more...but no it pretty much sucked..even though I did a few major things. Oh well.

Someone get me one of these!!!...oh and the shirt too.

Glenn Beck is taking pledged to save Terry Schiavo's wife. They are taking pledges to give to Michael Schiavo to get him to not kill his wife at the end of this week...make your pledge on the link provided. No funds are collected unless he accepts the offer.

The Michael Schiavo Starve My
Wife To Death Countdown Clock
On Friday, March 18, 2005 the state of Florida will begin to starve Terri Schiavo to death. Our Starve to Death Countdown Clock begins it's countdown on Monday, March 14. For each day until Friday the 18th, we'll take one bite out of the sandwich below. When the sandwich is gone, Terri will be sentenced to death by starvation. If you think this is tasteless, you're right - but at least we're not starving our wife to death.

How can you help? Make a pledge to save Terri's life...

Babe of the Day has been updated with today's babe.

You may of noticed that this and all of the preceding BOTD's will be posted as such. A link to the picture, but no picture on NickStarr.com

Steve Kirks
brought this up. As much as I try to make the babes SFW, often times a babe who is clothed can still be NSFW. So, if you want to see a Babe of the Day...go on over to the site, or subscribe to the RSS feed.

I switched today to a new server. Everytime I hear of people switching they ALWAYS say how seemless it was. Not for me. As you can see my Comments, Trackbacks, and Technorati Cosmos are all screwed up. I will have them working later today for sure.

I am using the deal from 1and1.com. They are offering 6 months of hosting FREE!! No Credit card! No nothing...just free hosting. The service features are:

So far so good. Although...that isn't true...

There are things I HATE about the service. Before, I would have my ftp be whatever account name/password I created. With them, it is some random number string followed by whatever I want.

Same for the email. It used to be pop.nickstarr.com and smtp.nickstarr.com. Now it is using their own server names, and a crazy login name (again a random number string).

Yeah...FTP and email both work as before, just having it be some random thing I will NEVER remember, kinda sucks when trying to ftp from anywhere but my home computer where the info will be saved.

For now...check the site as often as you want..the bandwidth is a TON more than what my last host was offering ( and last month I went over...shhh).

Set your RSS aggregators to check this site every minute for all I care. I won't be with them for the entire 6 month trial. Radio Userland will have their hosting solution up soon enough and then I am set for life with them. I love Radio Userland....you should try it out if you are into blogging or podcasting. You won't get a better service for EVERYTHING you need and having access to ALL the files...not just some like other blogging tools.

The Word(s) of the Day for March 14, 2005 is: Happy Birthday

Today is the birthday of someone who meant quite a bit to me. This person helped shape who I am now, and allowed me to see many things about myself that I never knew existed. I sorely am saddened that I can't express my wishes for a wonderful day to this person, but who knows. It's a big vast inkernet out there. Maybe someone is watching. If so, have a great birthday...you deserve it. Happy 25th Birthday!
