The Xbox 360? Looks like it...: "Xbox 360 logo

Until Microsoft makes their official announcement on it, this one is still firmly in the rumor category, but we’ve gotten word from one of our trusted sources that Microsoft has pretty much settled on a name for the next Xbox: the Xbox 360 (let that sink in for a moment, because you’re probably going to be hearing it a lot for the next several years). Our source, who has worked on several projects involving the Xbox and the Xbox 360, has seen the proposed packaging and other design elements for the new console, and says that as of right now the console is being branded as the ‘Xbox 360.’ That’s definitely not that first time we’ve heard that mentioned as one of the possible names for the next-generation Xbox; last year a marketing firm conducted a survey where they asked people whether they thought Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Nintendo N5 sounded more ‘next-gen’ (apparently Microsoft was worried that calling their new console the ‘Xbox 2’ would make it seem older or less ‘cutting-edge’ than the PlayStation 3).

This is a test from Mars Edit

UPDATE: Well looks like the post went thru with MarsEdit.. although the program doesn't seem to have a WYSIWYG interface and I haven't mastered putting pictures on the site yet. I will get the hang of this. It is just nice to know that I can edit the site remotely with a nice program.

What a truely great person Donovan Watts is. Everytime I email him, he is quick to respond and has a wealth of informaiton.

I asked him about using MarsEdit remotetly on my mac and he gives me all this information as well as a link here to a page he has created all about using MarsEdit. I am going to link to the OPML file below so you can access the information directly from this post.... Did I mention I love OPML?

 MarsEdit, a Radio weblog editor

It just occured to me that every single day in January I posted something....I can't believe that. It sucks that Febuary won't be so full....stupid Cable internet being down for 2 days...oh well...

The Babe of the Day isn't as full for the month of January, but hopefully I can change that this month...make sure to check out that site for a SFW Babe everyday!

Well, I thought I was stuck like Adam Curry to having to go to a Starbucks to get my wifi, so I added the T-Mobile Hotspot to my T-Mobile bill for $19.99/month. Turns out the next day my home wifi is working...sigh..

Well, there is no way to cancel. Therefore I guess I will just hit up the Starbucks a lot in the meantime. I hung out at the one down at BayWalk last night for quite some time.

The funny thing is that there was an open Linksys router wifi down there, and I got on that first before even noticing. I'm hoping that is a perment thing. That would be nice when my  T-mobile account  runs out. I enjoyed the atmosphere of Starbucks and it is only a few blocks from my place. I acatually am going to try that tripple chocolate drink tonight there.

Tomorrow I am being told is a Tampa day...My friend Mark and his girlfriend are going to run all over Tampa tomorrow, and I'm tagging along...I think we are going to Gameworks and a number of other places.

I'm going to try to setup MarsEdit to post from my laptop w/o Radio being installed on it... Should be easy, wish me luck.... Take care and have a great weekend inkernet.

So, let's talk mac for a bit...

I'm lovin' it. Best purchase ever...and I can't wait to get a Mac Mini or iMac... I got Office 2004 through work and that's up and running. I am going to buy iWork and use Keynote 2 quite a bit as that it is a great program to produce presentations with and it exports to PowerPoint. That is the major selling point right there for me. At my school we have a presentation nearly every class. Having the incredible look and feel of Keynote2's templates will of course give me an edge, and if you know me at all....I'm always looking for that extra edge.

I had my first MAC/PC moment not even 24 hours after having my laptop. I was at work and trying to minimize a window and double clicked on the top of it...which obviously maxamizes it.

I did end up getting the iBook and like it. I should of gotten the upgrade to the 80 gig, but they didn't have that instore. I think I finally got iPhoto to work. The problem was that I was moving all my files from the PC directly into the iPhoto's directory, and the files weren't able to be imported directly from there for some strange reason. So, I switched the directory they copy over to. When I check it later, hopefully it will have all the pics on it.

All in all, I love my mac.....

oh yeah...I don't like iChat. I prefer regular AIM, b/c with iChat you can't see if someone is on their mobile or acatually there, and you can't read what their away message says w/o IM'ing them. Features I use ALL the time. ...So, iChat < AIM....altough AIM has ads in it..oh well.

That being said...you should go buy a mac...a mac mini...something...get rid of the spyware, virus, crashing PC that you have suffered with for so long.

Anyone know how to remote desktop into a mac w/o using VNC???

The Word of the Day for Febuary 4, 2005 is: connectivity

Sorry everybody....I bought my iBook on Wednesday and there was a problem with the cable company and my account and I couldn't get online...it was madness...

But I'm back online at home...and not at Starbucks...

I tried to install Radio onto my mac, but not the easiest thing...and I had a few issues. I am going to continue to run it off my PC an try to use Mars Edit to post from my laptop.

Give me a few minutes to get everything settled and I will post a WOTD and other essentials you have come to know and love...
